The rear spoiler looks bad.

More expensive as in? I don't think it would hang with supercars like the C6 Z06, GT3, F430, Ford GT, etc.

Besides, I doubt this M3 CLS would cost anyless than 75k (assuming the base E90 M3 really is 60k).

Guaranteed if it comes to the US (still not sure) that it will cost upwards of 90k. Expect 0-60 of 3.8-3.9 and 'ring times in the 7:40 range. The base E92 will be damn close to the LS3 C6 'vette, and will hurt base Carrera's, possibly C2S's. Expect the CSL to come real close to stock Z06 times, may beat Gallardo's, will definitely beat the R8 and damn near any other Audi you can throw at it except the 600hp V10TT RS6, may very well hurt the GT3 and GT3RS (E46 CSL has bested 996 GT3 'ring times), damn near any AMG german muscle car, definitely some F360's, and that's all I can think of for now. Keep in mind that the E46 CSL lapped the ring in 7:50, that is quicker than about half the cars I just mentioned, and it did it with 350hp and less than 300 lb-ft. Expect the E92 CSL to have about 460hp and 320lb-ft and weigh around 3200 lbs.

I respect your enthusiastic mindset, but this is way too much speculation for me. Maybe you know something I don't

I don't think there's any official word or atleast any credible words on the M3 CLS... is there?

I agree on the price though. It would most likely be way up there past 80k.

Either way, im sure its going to be a heck of a car. Too bad it caries that inflated price.

Just giving my opinion based on speculation. The thing about BMW ///M GmBH is that they are NOT going to build a car slower than the former version. E46 CSL did 0-60 in about 4.4, base E92 should do it in around 4.2, CSL will be faster than that. Base E46 lapped the ring in 8:15, CSL did it in 7:50. Some are expecting the E92 to lap the ring in 8:03-8:05, which means for the CSL to hold true to it's philosophy it sould need to lap the ring in 7:38-7:40. I base these numbers on numbers that are out regarding the E46 CSL, numbers being given by BMW regarding the base E92, and good old fashioned spec based on these numbers.

Dont mind him. He will bring up the Z06 in EVERY other thread in the 'Other Cars' section. Some members have a burning desire to own other cars but have to make do w/ the G. These members are known to lose sleep at night, experience loss of appetite and bang their foreheads against hard objects. They are even known to pretend their car is their dream car, but once they exit the vehicle, they realize what they are really driving. Kind of like shallow hal.

+1, BMW is usually consistant about their cars being fast ratio, meaning the E39 M5 being as fast the E46 M3, also E36 M3 being almost as fast as E34 M5 and E92 M3 being as fast as E60 M5. That being said I agree with ur speculation about E92 CSL being that much faster than regular M3.

I do agree that the Z06 is a hell of a car, and not to be taken lightly. Just that something about big displacement pushrod V8's and leaf springs doesn't do it for me. I prefer the approach of M, Porsche, etc., by doing more with less, i.e. less displacement, less hp, etc. I still don't think the E92 CSL will beat the Z06, 1/4 mile or curcuit, but it may come close, which will be amazing considering the Z06's power to weight ratio. I think it will definitely handle some stock 997TT's, and possibly some (gasp) stock GT-R's. (flame suit ready)
