FX35 Roof Rack

I pulled the roof rack of our FX35 last night. I think it looks much better. In the spring I will install 22" wheels which I am currently shopping for. Want black spokes with chrome lip. BBS perhaps, not sure. It looks much lower without the roof rack. Took about an hour total. Opinions?

Sweet! I've been wanting to do the same thing, I just haven't taken the time to do it. It looks really good. Its low slung stance is really exaggerated now that the racks are off.

How much of a pita was it to do?

Good move. The vehicle does look lower, more clean and car like.

Rail less has been done by a lot of FXers. Personally not my taste, the rails give the roof line some character.

Here's the PDF to remove.

The bolts can be taken out from below if you drop the headliner, most opt to cut them off and get the roof caps that the base model FXs have when they don't come with rails from the factory.

Kinda looks MB R-class without the rails, a few other comparisons have happened over the years.
