The new 1 series is going to be huge for BMW.
The 135i coupe will be a kick a$$ car.
< 3200lb +300hp yada,yada
also standard with M-sport suspension... just look at the 6 pot brakes & huge rotors

is this replacing the 335 coupe? if not, bmw will lose a lot of 335 sales to the 135.

i imagine we are talking about at least $10k diff between the two, with the 135 weighing less but with all the same drivetrain equipment.

I agree with you. A bimmer with lower price point, lots of performance goodies and low weight.

I haven't yet come around to the looks though.

I really like it...
Not that it's a sex machine or anything,
but it has much more personality than the 335.

I could see this parked in my garage.

Much cheaper that way, but not so good on the revenue side.

I actually like it but I think it would look much better with a different front bumper or it needs a front chin spoiler added , just to take away from that squared off look on the front end.

Nope...
It's meant to bring a noob to BMW at a price he can afford.
Then up-sell him later.

The price dif will likely be < $5k
It's actually more performance oriented than the 335,
bigger 6 pot brakes rotors & M-sport suspension.
It'll be faster & more nimble in the handling dept.

There'll also be a 128 sister to the 328.
