Traded my IS350 today

Same deal as the other thread. Wife and I are planning for a kid soon and the Lexus just wasn't practical. Bought a new CX-9 Touring with Bose, moonroof, leather, etc etc. Dark blue *stormy mica* and black interior. Will have the room we need, lower payment, better snow ability, cheaper insur, and better on gas amongst other things. Will help us save $$ for the big day.

Wife gets Mazda, Ford, GM, SAAB, and Land Rovers at dealer cost thru what they call an "S" plan for work. Since she's a Purdue Univ employee they give her these deals. That saved us $3k, then since we traded the IS in we only pay tax on the difference, not the purchase price. So that saved $1500, had $1K cash back, and 5.9% financ thru Mazda right now. We made out pretty well. Sales rep is happy also cause he makes commission on full MSRP, not the discounted price.

Was sad to see the IS go but no biggie. Just a car. Time to start a family and do whats in the best intrest of that. Of coarse this will be modded as well so don't worry about that

congrats. I like the CX-9. Let us know your impressions of it after driving it for a while. We're considering it as a replacement for my wife's RX300. We want a 7-seater, but not a minivan....

Hey Ryan, I hear you on the family planning, I went through that many, many, many years ago . It is worth the few sacrifices to raise your own family.
Congratulations on your step towards familyhood . The Mazda would be a great practical vehicle for a young family.

Good decision towards your growing family. CX9 is a nice looking vehicle and I can see how your wife would like it.
