Top Gear : R8 vs Carrera S
For those of you who saw Episode 2 of Top Gear, Season 10 (which can be viewed http://youtube.com/watch?v=YzBHVtR9844 ), Im curious at what you thought of the Comparrison, (Which i think is a bit unfair)
In terms of price, wouldent a 911 turbo have been better. My friend said no since the were testing N/A cars. then i brought up the Gt3 which is actually 2k cheaper (closest to r8 price) and is also N/A, but he then argued that its a race car not a production car... Opinions...?

Thanks. I enjoyed the video.
Their comparisons aren't always necessarily fair but they do give you a lot to chew on. The prices they use are likely different than US or Canada.

and just think, for 20k less, you could get a gt-r and blow them both off the road...
i agree that the comparo is off, why not compare turbo to n/a. you wouldn't compare a 911t, with a srt-4 just because they are both turbo, you would most likely compare it to a lamborghini, but wait the lambo is at a disadvantage because it's n/a. so many things wrong. the r8 is awesome, the carrera s is fun, but a little less than expected.

i was being conservative...
i don't like giving people too much room to argue (like liberal-logic minded people who give you the low-end extreme of one, i.e. 110k for used r8 on ebay, and a high-end extreme of a brand new, fully loaded, 997 c2s for 90k, just to make their own invalid point more valid).
