Dare compare Nismo Z and G35S!

This is interesting. I just read my latest Road & Track (Dec '07). Back to back articles on Nismo 350Z vs S2000CR, and G35S vs Caddy CTS. Straight line numbers are identical for the 5AT G35S and Nismo, and hmmm, we know the 6MT is a tick quicker. Nissan should really inject more power in the Nismo Z, really.

I personally think they should have put the 3.8 liter engine they put in the Japanses version of the Nismo Z... I think it's called 380RS or something.....? Correct me if I'm wrong.

What stood out to me was the G35 Sport ran 0-60 in 5.3 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.8 @ 102.9 mph. This in itself isn't that amazing but if you look at the test conditions the temperature was 81%. The VQ engine usually runs even better in cooler temperatures so I imagine those times might see slight improvement in colder testing conditions...

I dont find this correct. The 07 Z's are pulling 13.3's and 13.4's in the quarter. The 07 Z's, Nismo or not, are DEFINITELY faster than the 07 Sedans
