I think it's really lame when big car companies take concepts from successful designs of other companies that originated the style.

2010 chevy impala is pretty reminiscent of the

CL63 Mercedes, from the headlights to the vents, the entire uper half almost looks like it.

The Rolls Royce Phantom, one of my favorites, and if one day i were to have it, seeing the imperial would annoy me.

The Mercedes r-class aint that new, and those headlights look quite similar, lame.

cars havent been around long enough for all the ideas to be done, i think we could do better.

As for your comparisons, I don't see them except the second one. I've seen the benz van headlights plenty of times around here and it never occured they look like the EX ones. Course I havn't seen the EX in person so...

Automakers have been doing this for MANY years, nothing new.
Look at how Honda copied the BMW 3er a few years ago... it was almost a clone.

Sorry but almost all of your comparisons are weak compared to the other link. Sure some of those cars have the similar style headlights or grill but as a whole, most of these cars are totally different.

The Chinese aside, I don't think it's that bad. It's kind of hard to be original with all the cars out there. Most manufactures don't want to do anything to original for fear of failure because so much money gets invested in r&d.

lol I LOVE when people compare cars that look nothing alike most of the time. Only little similarities are the shapes. I feel like ppl smoke crack and then make up these comparisons. You gotta be very car illiterate to mix any of those 2 cars together... or even think that ones design came from another minus the IMPERIAL of course... and the 2010 Impala? looks NOTHING like the CL, maybe the 08 C class, but a CL? LOL . smh.

Dude, the impala is based off the Holden Commodore in australia, which has been around a LOT longer than the CL63. if anything, mercedes copied Holden (which GM owns)!
