That car will not last long seeing how its stock everything as far as engine & turbo, except for the reflash ofcourse (hence, alot more power).

Impressive though!

No. The car was running 98 octane and DR's. Probably got a near perfect reaction time and 60' time. Daily driven cars with 91 octane and street tires will likely see 12.7-12.8 at 113 or so.

I believe the car has intake and turbo back exhaust as well.

Yeah, I read the original post over at that forum. But im speaking in regards to engine internals and/or turbo upgrades.

Going from a car that usually traps ~104 mph to ~117 without any sort of internal upgrades and/or turbo upgrades is really pushing it; exhaust & intake won't do anything to help this [safety & reliability].

Impressive nonetheless.

RT has nothing to do with the time you see on the slip, he could have sat at the light for 2 months, time starts when you trigger the timer.

That is impressive. I don't care if you need race gas or not. No G can do that without some major mods.

i have personally seen a 335 4 door run 12.7 at 111mph in california speedway when i was there. It had slicks though.

You are correct. 60' time doesn't really even matter that much, but the 98 octane and DR's have everything to do with it, and as skaterbassist said, with stock internals and no warranty you are asking for trouble. I'd still rather get the M3 which is just as fast, corners better, and does so while still maintaining the factory warranty.

How do you know this? I am not saying you're wrong, I am just wondering how you've determined the N54 can't take 400rwhp easily? If anything, there is a precedent that all aluminum blocks with cast cylinders can take a 100% increase in power quite easily. BMW is reportedly testing a 400+hp version of the engine so....

If anything goes, imo, it will be the transmission.

Highly doubt the transmission would go, most MT's are very robust and can withstand quite the beating. He did state in the thread its an 06 6MT coupe, not a 6AT. Automatics are more prone to high-horsepower failure rather than MT's. And yes, I agree, Im sure the engine could hold the power, but those turbo's are basically being maxed out.
