G35 coupe for Honda accord?

OK guys i have a 2004 G35 Coupe FULLY LOADED with 62,000 miles.

The car has probs.. Rims Bent,(need new rims+tires) Squeak, steering column needs to be replaced..

basically itll take me $5k to bring it back to normal..

SO instead of spending $5k on a car worth about $23,000, i figured why not get brand new 2008 honda accord coupe V6 with nav for $31,000

It has 268hp, nicer interior, bluetooth, navigation, and 0-60 time with my current car.

Someone tell me why i shouldnt get it??

Do you really like the new styling on it? IMO I think it is really ugly, especially the back end, but if you like it that's all

that matters. Or you can try to find a used '07 sedan for lower than that and get more power + more looks.

well, what would u do if u were in my position?

Dump about $5k on the g35 just to get it to run "normal"

or sell the g and use the $5k difference to get brand new honda?

Y Would It Cost You Five Grand, Get A Salvage Steering Column, And A Rim Will Cost You A Few Hindreed, The Job Should Cost More Then 2 Grand Installed, Go Shopping. Your Coupe Is Much Hotter, And Has Better Reslae Value. Gluck.

I'm suprised non of the people here are real car enthusiasts and noone menstioned the one and most important thing that the accord will not have -- and that's RWD. If you don't care about that then you might as well get a Honda, since it looks like you already set your mind on it. Good luck. I actually like Honda Accords, my girlfriend has one.

The coupe is notorious for squeaks so that isn't the issue. The more important question is how'd the rims get bent; how many rims are bent; and why does the steering column need replacing? All these factors seems more of the user's fault than the car itself.

My .02 is in about 5-7 years, you're going to be looking back and kicking yourself for getting rid of one of the most beautiful cars to come out of any mfg ever.

I'll put it this way (and for most of the members on here this might be a bad example, but I'll say it anyways), I purchased a 96' Dodge Avenger ES Spanish Olive Pearl back in Dec of 97' and was going to trade it in for the G35 or sale it...but at the last minute I decided to keep her (and like I said many on here will laugh), but I'm VERY glad I kept her, b/c I still love the look - especially the color of the car, the interior (clone of the Mits Eclipse of that time) and the ride quality.

I'll probably keep the Avenger and G35 forever, and just rebuild the engines and get them repainted. They are both "timeless" looking coupes in my .02

Ok, quite laughing. ; )

Thanks Guys for letting me voice .02 for this guy.

Going from a G to an Accord is a downgrade.
