I have a smog-legal Supercharged 86 Corolla Coupe. It used to be my daily driver but I bought an SR5 corolla earlier this year and that's been my beater ever since.

Always nice to see a fellow 86er on different forums.. =)

haha its the one up above, its funny how yeah the only way i can drive it for now is to either have somebody push me or popping the clutch. Ive been wanting the 86 for a long time and yeah now that i have it i cant even drive it. the 4ac has a knock in the motor and i have a 4ag at home, but trying to get the stuff to do the gts conversion man, all i want is to just put the 16valve in it and the rear end. ill post up more as i go

if this thread keeps going im might even update the 86 on this forum as well as club4ag.

but you should get one still, my dream came and gone through the years, its crazy how this car just gets me excited just thinking about it. man..........i should dump my gf. har ar ar ar ar ar...........jk.....or am i? nah im jk

thats cool man at least i know now that im not the only one who has an 86, i picked mine up in sacramento and before i saw a bunch in your area. you wouldnt happen to have extra stuff lying around for the 86 would ya? i know i need the gts cluster, i dont know about the wiring but i guess i have to replace the wiring harness and such.
I dont want to do a full gts conversion, but im guessing that if im to put the 4ag in then im gonna have to anyways.

ehhhhh yeah its true, they are over priced but its up and down like real estate or something. the 86s will go high and the 240s and rx7s will go low, then that will switch and the 240s will go high.

but luckily for me here, every switched from their civics to 240s with the sil80 and sr20 or rb conversion. so nobody wants the 86.

Get an 86!!!! do it!!

Theres a few out here, a guy i know down the street is selling his auto sr5 coupe, straight clean title and everything and it runs amazingly strong for $800 , too bad youre in canada though.

I had a '86 GT-S 5-speed, I bought it running for $600. I repainted the whole car grey It was blue, but someone did a horrible job taking care of the paint, and did a half-a$$ job repainting the trunk.
\/ The paint is even, it was raining outside at the time when I brought the car in the shop for some quick pictures.

Fixed it up, and got it running cherry, replacing all the worn out stuff, which was quite a list. (stock/upgrade parts are dirt cheap compared to other vehicle makes) I had to sell it a few years back to get funding for my Subaru Projects. Still wish I had that car. Under powered, but a fun little car. I'd like to get another one some day, when I get a bigger garage.
