24k Canadian

My cousin is looking to buy a used car and wants to spend 24k or less after taxes, licensing, etc. He lives in Canada, and is going to come to Seattle and look at some cars.

So far he is looking at a 2006 civic si, and 2003-2004 Nissan 350z. He loves the G35, but thinks it is too expensive. Is this true?

Any other recommendations for him?

Stuff costs more in Canada.
A TSX should be within that price range, and an IS300.

Best bet for a used car is to buy in the US right now.

True, as long as you consider import/conversion cost too. They probably won't ever adjust down to the same levels just as new cars won't either.

From what I've seen the newer the car, the greater the advantage buying US.
The delta savings seems to narrow the older the used car.
