i was going to order one... but i didn't want to wait until spring to have a look at it.. so i ended up ordering a 335 instead. the 135 looks to be a fantastic car for it's size though.

It should be a great car.
Not bad looks, but a bit of an ugly duckling compared to the 3er couple IMO.

Alot of BMW enthusiasts are dissapointed by this car. Optioned out it comes in anywhere from $40k-$45k, about $5k less than a 335i. It also only weighs about 100lbs less, IIRC. Of course it is very possible that expectations were entirely to high for this car, as they were for the E92 M3, but the entire marketing angle was the lightweight and the lower price. If it is basically the same as the 335i, but just that much uglier than I don't see myself picking one up, particularly considering that the M3 has been in my sights since the concept was revealed. If the 135i had delivered a little more along the lines of $38k well optioned and 3400lbs curb weight then it just might have made me think twice about the M, but no dice.

The idea was to introduce BMW to new market sector.
One that couldn't yet afford a 3er.

The 1 Series isn't new, it's a resurrection.

I think you meant worst of all. May as well just splurge and get a 335i...a car that doesn't look like a go-kart.

I wouldn't call price the best thing about any BMW. I wouldn't call it light weight either - it's only 130lbs lighter than the 335.

Not a fan of the looks. I would go with a 335.

Looks like it will be a nice ride. Twin Turbo too, like the 335 = nice.
