Ford's money shot (Explorer Concept)
Many of you may not like Fords or even this new one but I am digging the new style. An increase of 20%-30% fuel saving from a turbo 4 cyl and turbo 6 cyl producing over 300hp...and it can still tow!

Ford is going for like 10 something a share...i hope GM buys them out and fvckings scraps every ford on the road and sends the metal to china.

Amazing power numbers from the direct ignition 4 cylinder. E85 powered?

VW/Audi's 2.0 direct ignition turbo is only at about 200hp

yeah but if they keep it somewhat close they could have a winner. in the mix of my infiniti i have owned several fords...98 Ford ZX2, 04 Ford Escape, 05 Ford Explorer, 04 F-150 and every single one of them has had zero problems. The ZX2 made it to 105k before I sold it, the Escape had 40k, the Explorer has 55K, the F-150 has 40K. They need to get passed the old issues that noone can let go of (ie Taurus) because they make good cars...they just need to fire their lead designer of 75% of their vehicles.

i just looked it up:

a four-cylinder, two-liter engine that would provide 275 horsepower — and a V-6 with 340 horsepower.

Its a CONCEPT though.

I'd like Fords if they'd build nicer interiors and have better build quality. That and get rid of all the chrome and make more powerful engines.

Interesting... that's light years ahead of my old & crude '96 Explorer 5.0 AWD. My old Explorer which I have had since new has been bullet proof. It is currently at around 105K miles.
