Running E85 (85% ethenol, 15% gasoline) would be like running 120 octane gasoline. Pure ethenol is about 130 octane while 10% is equal to 94. Of course, the higher the octane you're running, the more efficient and cleaner your motor will be burning, and you'll be making more power, especially when the ECU is properly tuned. But the biggest advantages of ethenol over even 100 octane gasoline is that ethenol is green and it won't cost more than $6 a gallon... it'll cost about 40% of what we pay for gasoline right now.
