2002 M5 vs 2002 745Li

I'm going to be purchasing a car in the next 5 months. I'm stuck between these two... a 2002 M5 and a 2002 745Li. If you were given the choice to choose between the two ( same price, same miles, same color, same features) which one would you pick?

Are you seriously debating these?

No brainer here man... well... i mean... given that you are moving (up?) form a G... I would get the M5 for the speed n handling... the 7 is nice dont get me wrong... but I think the M5 will be 100x fun to drive as compared to the 7... now if you were talking about a 5 or a 7... def the 7...

Ofcourse you could be wanting it for reasons != speed and/or handling in which case the 7 might be up your alley...

If it were me ... M5 in a heartbeat...

745Li is the current bodystyle, with the M5 you'd be buying a car that looks very dated and old. However, 2002 is the first model year for the 745, and is generally a bad decision. Fortunately, the 03 and 04's aren't that much more, so I'd give the nod to the 745 in this scenario.
If you want something even remotely sporty though, I'd get the M5.

Send a message via AIM to kyazh

you get comfort, massaged seats, 6 year old design, 333HP, automatic slushbox, more stuff to break, half the chicks in town.

you get comfort, a 12 year old TIME LESS design, two tone interior, 400 HP of bone crushing fury, manual trans, the other half of the chicks in town.

Edit: Also, I'm assuming the M5 will keep it's value longer than the 7 due to the fact that it's a limited production car and the 7 is just another land yacht.
