Question G35 Sedan v. 350Z

I've never driven a 350Z.

What is the difference between the 2 vehicles in terms of driving experience?

I've actually owned a 350z, G35c and now a G35 sedan.

They were all wonderful cars.

I would say my overall favorite was my G35c, however I love my new sedan.

As far as a driving experience the 350z feels less refined (more like a sports car) it is louder inside, rougher riding (tighter suspension), really bad stereo, sits lower, cheaper interior, handles (a little) better and obviously less usable space.

More stylish, lower ride height, little tighter handling.
Manuals are slightly faster. The AUTO Z's are complete dogs.

Also less visibility, more inconvenient and worse resale because its a Nissan and has only two doors..less spectrum of buyers.

I had a Base 04 350z 6mt, I own a 04 G35S sport 6mt.

Engine and Tranny are the same. The car shifted and the clutch felt the same. Obviously the Z had more HP, better handling and sounded meaner. The handling is not even close. The sensation of speed is better in the Z. The ride is more refined in the G

Just my thoughts

I live in SW florida in the Fort Myers/Naples area.
And the Z is everywhere.
And there's no specific age demographic.
I see young punks, old farts, men, women, personalized plates, etc.

I initially like the styling....but after seeing it so often, it looks a bit edgy.
I have a 2007 G sedan and the more I look at the Z, the more I appreciate its smooth sexy curves and perfect proportions.

Maybe I'll test drive a Z to satisfy my curiosity.

I had a 05 yellow Z MT before the new G35 sedan. The Z is a pure sport car, great handling and a lot louder, meaner sound. The exterior is pretty nice looking, esp the wide body lines and the curvy top. However, the interior looks cheap w/ plastic everywhere, and it's a 2 seaters with very limited storage space. That's why I traded in for a 08 G35 sedan, I missed the back seats and the interior of the new G35 is awesome, a great improvement from the pervious model. The G is pretty fast for a sport sedan, but the handling is no comparsion with the Z.. The G is a luxury sport sedan; the Z is a fun sport car.

350Z is uncomfortable, the seats can't recline so it's basically 90 degress like a regular cab truck. 6MT for both Z and G is rough.

I hate the seating position on the Z. Feels like I'm sitting in the bottom of a bucket.

350Z and G35 redline!

350Z redlines at 7500rpm and G35 at 7600rpm, I thought they have the same engine? VQ-HR(high revolution). Just a thought....

Only the G35 has the VQ35HR engine. The Z still has the VQ35DE engine.
