New Audi R4
Nice teaser pic. Another article I read mentioned that a 2.5 L TT with 300hp may come about.

Nice idea but I'll believe it when I see it. The TT just got redesigned and they just introduced the A5/S5. All priced from $35-60K. Where would the R4 fall? Given the 300hp output, it's surely no beast to command a $70K+ price tag and if it does happen to fall in the $40-50K range, it will take a lot of sales away from the coupes Audi offers. Sorry if I sound a bit skeptical there's a lack of news to support this. Besides, if it's based on the R8 frame but not light weight, how fast can it be with only 300hp? It's not much faster than a G since an R8 weighs in at ~3400. Claiming the 1,250kg quite unbelievable unless it's a very bare bone car in which given Audi's luxurious reputation is hard to believe. Most of the Audi's I've seen have top notch leather interior.

maybe they're planning it as a future replacement for the TT?
 nice car if it does come out though.

Looks great. But it would make the R8 a little less "unique". Why would they make a smaller, affordable "copy" of their supercar to rival a car like the Boxster
If anything, they should just make the TT a little faster. .
