Unhappy Why do I still lust after the IS350?

It's got zero road feel.

It only comes with a slushbox tranny.

It's overpriced.

But I still love the looks way more than my G.

It's the "edgier" styling that, to me, has so much more of an agressive look than the curvy lines of the G35...

WHY, LEXUS, DO YOU TORMENT ME SO???????

I like the IS as well, but still not as much as a G35S

I came from this, so even the new G35S and G37 are a bit conservative in comparison...

Maybe that's why I loved my Z, but I treat my G like a grocery-getter.

Before i bought my G35 i had a deposit for the Is350 sport tuned. Matter of fact i was soo excited i even went to NY auto show to check out the car in person before it even hit the dealerships. And my last car was a Is300 therefore i was definetly up for challenge but, once i drove the IS350 dammmmmmmmnnnnn everything changed. Unfortunetly allthough it had 306hp for some reason G35 felt faster, & the handling of the Is350 which i had the chance to test it at the track wasn't good as even comparing to a previous is300. Therefore went cross the street & bought the G

But then again recently i test drove the ISF omg that car is sick..i still got my $1000.00 deposit sitting at Jm Lexus. I guess i will know if i am gonna get it or not with in next few weeks or so.

No doubt. If you can justify it; an enthusiast needs a car to stir the soul.

Sounds to me like you need to trade your Sedan in for a coupe if you're going to stick with the G! However, if you have a sedan for practical reasons, I can see why you'd really like the IS350. If it weren't for that damn slushbox I'd be seriously considering one myself.

lmao I didn't even notice that until last week! I had an IS just to the top left of me on the freeway and notice the mirrors, I was like, man those things are HUGE! lol

I still haven't driven one but I'm still impressed with the performance of it, compared to my old G

It's a nice car after driving it several times at a Lexus event here. It surely doesn't feel fast with the windows up since it doesn't have an exhaust note like the G35 or 335i but it should hold it's ground. It's very smooth and quite a trademark of Lexus. Styling wise, it's nice both inside and out. The only downside is the material the dash is made of. It's textured plastic but has a very rough sandpaper feel to it. Everything else I can live with. The other negative is the price. It's a little pricer with amenities very similar to the G35 sedans. If I wanted a slushbox and if I can get the IS350 for invoice I would still lean towards the G35 but not by much.
