Test Drove a Couple Cars today, looking at more later this week.
Well, today i was thinking about other cars in the G35s class, so i decided to go and check some out.
First car i test drove was a 2006 Mercedes C280. Silver. It had 27k and was $24,800. Grade: C- First off, i will say it has a nice interior. Its a cushy place to be. The salesmen was older, and kinda pushy. He really wanted me to buy it and when i brought up how i was looking at a G35, he kept badmouthing them with wrong information which really pissed me off. The Drive: When i first got in this car it reminded me of driving my friends Toyota Avalon. The steering was very smooth and light. The drive was decent, wasnt super squishy, but wasnt stiff and firm. I took it into a turn and ended up going into the other lane. The freaken body roll was TERRIBLE even in 'Sport' mode. The next part was getting on a freeway, i gave it the beans and it took off like a slug. Felt very similar to my friends G20. I wasnt impressed at all. We got back and the dude was a dick and kept trying to get me to buy the POS on the spot. Overall, i wasnt impressed and would not recommend these giant piles to anyone. It just felt like it was going to fall apart and i didnt trust the reliability, even WITH warranty. So we left and headed to BMW. 2004 BMW 330i, 40k miles, 22k. Warranty. Grade-A Met up with a cool guy that was like "whatever." He was younger and showed me lots of cars in my price range (24k and under) then he asked if i wanted to drive one. So i said "Sure, ID LOVE to try one out." Went outside and he just let me pick one. So i picked a black on black 2004 BMW 330i. He handed me the keys and said "when you get back, just come in and find me." So yea, i was now out driving a BMW 330i. All i can say is WOW. Now i know why you guys swear by these damn things. All my biases, GONE. This car had a bumper to bumper 100k warranty, same with every other certified BMW. The ride was just amazing. It was smooth, WHILE being stiff and firm. Now, i did have some fun with this car (resonably) and tried to get a taste for its performance. WOW again. I immediatly tried to turn the traction control off (couldnt figure it out at all.) but i floored it a couple times from lights, felt nearly as fast as an 04-05 G35, and just left that dumb C class behind. The exhaust note was to die for. Next was some turns. Found a twisty section of road the Infiniti dealer likes to use for their test drives and man did i hit it in that 3 series Thing was just PLANTED. It was SO solid it was unfreakenbelievable. You'd take a turn and it would just HUG. So i took it back, walked in, talked to the guy some more then left.Went to the Audi dealer and talked to a new guy there about 04 Audi A4s the 1.8t and the 3.2. And he said the AWD is way more advanced than the Gs (which i didnt believe but w/e) and he said he did not have any available for test drives, so he told me to come back this friday to drive one. I will report back with that comparison. Tomorrow im going down to Cadillac and im going to drive a 3.6 CTS just for ****s and giggles and to see what Cadillacs offering, drives like. Maybe i will drive a 9-3 Aero while im down there as well. But i will let you know. Im so torn right now. i love that 3 series. But then on the way back i literally saw 5 05 G35s. And it brought me back to why i like them haha

Go buy a G35 Coupe. If you buy anything else I won't be your friend anymore....lol...j/k. Just make sure everything is straight up with the car that you purchase. And salesmen for the most aprt can always be pushy. I would usually wait until the end of the month when it's crunchtime for them to sell and go get a good deal. Good luck!

Well, if you want a loaded Trailblazer for a good price. Let me know. I detailed it every weekend last summer, 1 owner, nothing wrong with it. Tuned to make about 295hp, and runs faster times in the 1/4 than a Range Rover Sport.
Tows as well!

The BMW 3-series is an automotive benchmark. Your wasting your time with any other vehicle in it's class. Speaking of which, what do you do to have all this time to test drive these vehicles?
