M3
Hey guys, just have a quick question. It seems a lot of people on here have experience with the newer M3's. I have decided if I have to replace my transmission again I may just get rid of the car..I'm not sure yet. I'm wondering what anyone thinks of the M3 as a daily driver? My reasons for not getting one were #1 infiniti service vs. bmw service #2 reliability #3 the back seat..is the back seat in the M3 even useful? The other thing is having a DVD based Navi because I really don't care for switching out CD's. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: M3
Love the M3, Hate the price! I went on BMW's website because my mom mentioned selling the S2000 to get a 330ci Convertable that is worth $58k I wanted to see what the m3 was worth if the 330 could be priced out that high. Once you start adding things that you know you want (might not need buy hey) and the car was over $55k. Thinking what I have in the G now for this price I think Im more than satisfied. Thats not to say that If I had a sudden boost in income I wouldnt consider it but thats just my opinion for now. Ill tell you this If I was gonna spend that much on a car right now a supercharged coupe would sound good to me. That is if that dreamworkes thing with the warranty works out. It's nice to dream.

Re: M3
Dunno mate about the M3 as a daily driver..I suppose it depends on your lifestyle etc. I used too own a 330ci, was a great car, but i needed four doors, for work and for my family. The M3 is obvioulsy the 330ci, plus looks and power. If i had the money i might be tempted too get one as a second "play" car. I actually bought my 04 G35 sedan last November 1st and on the same day picked up a beautiful 04 Honda S200 as my fun car. Worked out great for me, as both cars were what i wanted and accomplished my needs. One thing too remember about Bmw is that in recent years they've had a not so great reliabilty issue, not too mention maintenamce costs. If you can afford the M3, don't need a back seat & four dorrs and have a few grand a year tucked away for tires & maintenance, i'd say go for it. Good luck in your decision.

Re: M3
There are no maintanance costs on new BMW's. Any car from like 2002 to 2003 has 36000 miles worth of free maintanace and anything over 2003 has 50000 miles worth.
