Sell the G 4 something else or keep?

Like the title says, thinking about selling my G35 and getting another car. Looked at Evos, 335i, and G37. My boi at the shop thinks I should get the 335i and get the dinan software and already in 12s. 380HP is a lot straight out of the showroom floor. I thought about ordering a stage 2 long block from importpartspro.com and putting an APS TT on it but that with labor is about 12K... G37 for 43K seems a little too much considering the fact I can find a used 2007 335i for 38K with 20000miles.... Evo seems too rice after driving a G for awhile... it is a nice car though. I want a car that I can make hella fast.... I know it sounds broad. anyone in the same boat as me? Suggestions?

What are your power goals?

I agree with the evo being a bit rice.

If you want a sweet car with decent power go for the 335 and minor mods. If you want big power keep your car and build the motor.

build your current set up..i'm sure once you start modding the 335i you'll just want more as with this car

it never ends..

I just got a Legact Gt it has the same engine as the STI and does not look as ricey. With the Cobb Tuning Stage II you will have 238whp and 286TQ for only $2300. The stock turbo is good up to 400hp. The car isnt that expensive at all paid 20k for a 2006 with 20k on the odo. Here is a link to some 1/4 mile times http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...ile+time+stage

300 is not a Challenger 450hp out of the box... and I'm sure it's much easier and cheaper to add power to than our car... I've been on a muscle car kick lately but continue to sump money into the G... I won't be changing cars anytime soon - but If I did (like OP) I'd probably go muscle... unless the G is FI OEM by the time I make a change

Realistically speaking, the only car that I see as a possible replacement IF I had the money and IF I were looking for a change would be the 335i Coupe.

But im not looking for a change anytime soon. Not until I graduate that is, and the G will still be around.

Yup. I have the Charger SRT8. Ran a 12.89 last weekend in high humidity and a headwind. Intake and exhaust. They now have great heads/cam packages for these motors as well as nitrous kits and FI options.

Unlike the G, the tranny and the rest of the car are up to the higher hp. You won't find too many high hp G's to begin with, but the ones that have been successful have to do serious other upgrades to handle it.

I have a Evo MR and it is night and day compared to the G. It takes a piss on the G performance wise anyday of the week.
