Lightbulb Chosing Between A Fine Breed of Cars

so heres my ordeal,

i'm a 25 year old guy who graduated from dental school last year.. ive been busting my balls for the last one year in my hand-me-down 1982 toyota corolla courtesy of my dad.. i asked nicly if he would like to share his 645i or cls 63 amg, but he said no (something gay abt making it on your own in life as a doctor, whatever that means)

i could have leased an okay people mover like the accord or camry, but you see ive been saving up ($32k by now).. its the worst driving car ever, does 0-62 in 28 sec and the sex appeal is the equivilant of a tub of lard, ive been noticing it takes four times the alcohol to get laid now, but hey thats irrelevant cuz chicks dont dig money, its sense of humour ryte..

so here are my options, as you can guess it will be my daily driver (no wife/no kids, so the 2 door 4 door or practicality issue isnt a concern here).. ive worked really hard for my first car, even my gardner has a 98 corolla.. so im looking for head turning looks, (something the would notice) and something that would satisfy a true petrol head need for speed.. frankly im getting rather sick of taxi drivers running my corolla off the road (mistaking me for a sri lankan gardner)

05' bmw z4 3.0
06' lexus is 300 (this is the only variant we have here)
05' infiniti g35 coupe
04' bmw 530i
05' mercedes slk 200

those are alot of options i know, and the cars happen to be from different categories altoghter.. this is a really tricky choice, also it would really help if someone who owned some of these cars could actually compare it to the G35.. i know this is an G35 forum, but please be impartial

From those choices I'd definitely go with the G35, you won't be disappointed.

lol...I like your sarcasm. Anyway, all of those cars are great choices. Just comes down to whichever one you can get the best deal on, IMO. Good luck....

I also graduated dental school last year and am, hopefully, buying my G this week. I have looked for other cars in the price range but always come back to the G.

seriously, what do you guys think of the slk or Z4

i know slk doesnt beat it in performance but with the convertible hardtop and the interior its def a nice car to be in.. any current or former owner care to share?

the slk does look nice but its more of a chick car than a chick magnet imo. the z4 it cool but then long a** hood seems like some is compensating for something else, but hey all of this is just imo. don't know how the price for parts is over there but here parts for european cars are just way to expensive, just something else for you to consider. either way just get what you think would give you the most satisfaction, good luck.

i would go for the 530i or g35. like someone else said, the slk is totally for the girls, meaning for them to drive. i think the z4's look is outdated.

if you put some phat rims on the 530i, it would look nice, maybe some old school BBS wheels. good luck!

Sex appeal? Z4. It has the BMW badge.

Overall best car? G35 coupe easily.

05' bmw z4 3.0 - Owned this car well the '03 which is virtually the same except for the taillights and the bluetooth. I had the 3.0 Sport, Navigation, Premium Package, and SMG. Loved the car. Super fun to drive.
06' lexus is 300 (this is the only variant we have here) - NO, if you're talking about the 05' IS300. I believe the IS is an IS350 in 06. Good power, super fine interior quality...can't go wrong.
05' infiniti g35 coupe - I have an 06 which is pretty much the same car again. Love this car...its is my second coupe. Its a much more road friendly car than the Z4. The Z4 is more of a go-kart style car and very limited space while the G is good because its a bit easier to drive around and also has the rear seat room when needed.
04' bmw 530i - Great car, can't go wrong with it. Definitely will be the least exciting car of this group. Probably should consider an 06 330i instead of an 04 530. It would be more comparable to the other cars
05' mercedes slk 200 - I'd get the Z4 over the SLK. The Z4 is more rewarding to drive if you don't care about the status of Benz and the hardtop. The Z4's softop is great, durable, and quiet.

My 2 cents....

okay as for slk being a chicks car, i would totally agree with you guys.. more like a milf headed to the nail saloon type.. fortunately or un-fortunately depending on how you look at it, women dont drive around my part of the world.. which is good in a way that the supermarket parking isnt cluttered with mini vans, apv's or those worthless sports activity vehicles, bad news is im kinda deprived of that eye candy that comes with this type of car i.e. soccer moms

z4 is not a feminine car, i agree the z3 was a horrible car.. the only good thing that it did was sell, like alot.. but they decided to change that.. when they decide to improve the 3 series they never come up with a 4 series.. z4 is one masculine beast, def what fred flinstone would drive..
