GTR Vspec $120K?

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=6754

Quote:
We also uncovered that the Spec V's 3.8-liter V-6 will pump out about 520 bhp at 6500 rpm and 435 lb.-ft. of torque from 3200 to 5200, roughly a 10-percent increase from the base engine. The extra oomph comes by increasing the boost of the turbochargers.

Combine this added power with the car's lighter weight and you have a machine that'll be so fast it's downright scary. Zero to 60 mph will be near 3 seconds flat...on a cool day on an ideal driving surface, it may even break into the 2s. The quarter-mile mark will be right around 11.0 sec.

As for price, let's just say that extensive use of carbon fiber will definitely have an effect. The projected MSRP of the GT-R Spec V is $120,000.
Up Next: 2009 Nissan 370Z

:lol....Hmmmm, maybe I should wait.....

Damn, must be nice to have money.... I can't even affort the regular GTR.

Plus, getting the V-Spec is a waste for me cuz even though they reduced the weight by 500 lbs, my fat a$$ is gonna cancel it out, so I'll just save up for a used regular GTR in about 5 years or so...

120K for V spec it's just too much for the improvements.
That is almost 50K more than regular GTR.
Ok, it got Carbon-Ceramic brakes and carbon fiber all over the place. but nothing really on the engine just more boost.
Amuse already have the ECU + exhaust will give you over 580 at wheel so say $6000
The Carbon-Ceramic brakes ....say $6000
Carbon fiber door, hood, and trunk. say $10,000.
You can save 30K making your own faster version of V-spec.

I never said they are bad employees. Have u had experience with Nissan dealer? U take your car there for a rattle issue and the guy in front of u tries to explain to u that it is normal and we can not do anything about. I pay 75-150k for a car I better have someone that understands my concern and takes care of it accordingly instead of trying to make me think that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

BTW just 7 years ago I did not speak English.

Wow....forget the base then...i'll start saving for that....hmmmm...although Evil Dragon does have a point...even most people with old R32-34's eventually put bigger turbos on their car..but we shall see...

Off topic: this is for speedraver - DAMN!!! again with the hot chick!!! Where do you find these pics at?!?!?...haahah...

Ok back on topic.... And why in the U.S. can't they call it a V SPEC?!?! like it was originally called....always gotta change stuff....

I C your point, but I think it would be in any Nissan dealership's best interest to send their best techs to be trained to work on the GT-R....right or wrong, the dealerships will likely send their ace mechanic & tech to GT-R school...
