IS-F vs RS4 vs M3 vs C63 AMG

I don't think this is a repost, but here's a R&T comparo between the IS-F, RS4, M3, and C63 AMG.

Dam the Mb won...i thought for sure the RS4 would win. I guess that 6.3 liter motor is what did the trick.

There's no doubt the MB would be the fastest of the bunch straight line. The AMG lineup that MB offers are all beast straight line at least. The RS4 is a little disappointing however given it's price difference and lack of performance. Their redesign better pack a bigger punch for a performance car. I'm somewhat surprise that the IS-F being the first generation is able to somewhat hang with these German performance cars.

I think they're right about the styling of the F. I finally saw one in person when I had my 350 in for service and it just doesn't do much for me. It's definitely a good looking car but it's not $60K worth, which is what I think of the new M3 also. Not enough to differentiate it like the e46 M3 did.

I test drove an M3 this past weekend (E90), and honestly, you have to get the revs up to feel some power. The car did handle nicely though, and the build quality is off the charts. But, for $55K+, and what the car is designed to be, I don't know if my dough would be going their way!! It didn't WOW me as a complete package.

The new M3 is a performance beast compared to the previous gen E46 M3 but it's not getting the same attention it did years ago. I don't know if it had to do with more competition now or what but people were drooling over the E46 M3 when it hit the auto shows. Personally I think the E46 had better lines than the newer M3. Maybe the huge jump in base price is putting it out of reach of more buyers.

I knew the C63 would win before i even opened up this thread. Such a sick car! I would take that over all of them - i do love the M3 though!
