Multiple model manufacturers in both the US and Japan have confirmed they have Nissan R35 GT-R 1/24th scale models due for release later this year and into 2009. In Japan first up we have probably the most well known scale model manufacturer Tamiya Japan releasing their first edition in June 2008 retailing at 4,200 yen ($42USD).
I haven't put together a car model in years, I still have yet to finish my 1/24 scale Lambo Countach, and 88 Civic Hatchback. I finished a 91 NSX and, 91 CRX all made by Tamiya. And a Ferrari 308 by Revell at 1/25 scale.

My model making days have taken a back seat for a long time.

what color ext/int are you going to make your gt-r?

i think you could sell yours as 'parts made in japan, assembled in the usa.'

Here's the assembled model... these will go on sale next month!

"Now here’s a photo taken at Tamiya “Plamodel” (Japanese for plastic model) Factory at Tressa Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan. You can see the fully assembled and painted 1:24th scale Nissan GT-R with a bunch of extra parts behind. This is one fine looking scale model.

This model goes on sale next month at a retail price of around $40 USD at hobby stores Japan wide and worldwide shortly thereafter."

While waiting on the new GTR model, I started working on a Calsonic Skyline GT-R 2003. I haven't done a model since I was about 10 years old so this is like a warm up. Finally finished all the decals tonight. Here it is! Only disappointing thing is no engine.

Sure, you SAY it's $42 US but what will the dealer markup be?!? HA! I will watch for these to be released, too.
