2008 Accord Coupe v. honda forums?

The lease on my 06 g35 sedan expires in about 2 months and it's time for me to go hunting for a car. I wish to buy and not lease anymore. My budget is in the $25k range (brand new car). I noticed one of these nifty cars the other day while I was driving, and I must say it looks pretty damn nice. I commute about 80 miles 4 days a week and the gas prices are only rising, however I don't think I can live with a 4 cylinder car after driving a g35, these have been said to get 20-28ish mpgs..... But obviously that's not my only deciding factor. I read a few reviews online and they seem to be pretty good cars, and knowing honda, they are reliable and have a great resell value. Knowing that a good number of Driver members come from hondas and stuff, what message boards would you guys recommend I poke around about before shooting the gun and buying the ride? Your personal opinions are welcome as well.

(for you diehard nissan fans, I'm not interested in the altima coupe, IMO it's ugly as sin)

I'm looking to get a v6 slush box...

you really like how the coupe looks? IMO the new accord coupe's a$$ is ugly as sin also. The sedan, however, looks pretty good from every angle

and the V6 is also pretty quick and nicely powered for the highway (like 270hp or somewhere around there right?)

But you already decided it looks good so go for it. no helpful info here about honda forums though. LOL .02

G/L!

+1 I can't stand the bulbous headlights on the sedan and the whole car looks disproportional. The only reason I would get a sedan is for the "mini hotel in the back seat feature" if ya know what I mean .

Otherwise I drive alone or with 1 person 90% of the time, so the extra 2 doors are useless most of the time except for those hotel occasions

i previously came from an accord the 7th gen accord and really enjoyed it, they are very reliable cars and they do have very spacious backseats well the sedans anyways, and thats a big plus on the mpg, as for the forums i was a very active member on v6p.net and i can tell you that it is a very civilized and well put together forum the people are nice and welcoming hope that helps out a little good luck choosing a car!

I'm on record as not minding the looks of either, and the V6 should still get better mpg than the G, so it's all good. Only FWD that would keep me away.

Looks nice. You should start a thread about it. Nose looks a bit 3-ish but I like the 273hp 3.7 V6. Still wrong-wheel-drive but maybe they will do a 'speed version with 300+ hp and AWD.

I looked at the Accord Coupe several months ago. The interior is BIG, once you sit in the drivers seat you will see what I mean. I'm 6'0, 230lbs (no chub), and I felt I had room to swim in the car. You can try board.hondasociety for forums. All in all, its an awesome car.

If you're budget is in the ~25k range and you want a brand new vehicle, the Accord Coupe is a great car.

If my budget were ~25k, I'd look into a few good used cars out there. But im not you

Goodluck!
