Lexus IS250 worse car ever....

Hi all. My dad wants a new car and he likes Lexus IS250 cuz it's small and have good gas mileage and popular so I went to the dealer to check it out.

Man the gas mileage is almost the same as 350, so i drove it and it was SLOW as turtle!!! I think my 00' tacoma 4x2 and my dad's 04' v6 camry can kill it. Even my old civic si can kill it, lol! The base model is like $34k out the door, no zeon light, nothing, everything is cheapass, the steering wheel column feels like its going to fall off worse than corolla, to get decent one will be like $38k now who in their right mind would buy such stupid car, well we all know how many is250 are on the streets. I'm never drove it and im just super shocked how crappy it is.

Lexus IS250 for $28K i still wont buy, for $18K i will consider.

I decided my dad will get Infiniti EX35 with just premimum package. Although G35 journey would be nice but I dont want two SAME cars in my house!

yeah, they're expensive for what it is, the interior is soooo small, same dimensions as a corolla,

but it looks nice

I'm kinda surprised at your comments about the IS250. Sure, it's not the most performant car, but it's gas mileage is pretty damn good considering that it's a decent weight and does 200+ HP with a transmission geared well for day to day driving. 21/29 for the 6AT is nothing to scoff at. Gas mileage on the manual is pretty pathetic though.

I have no idea why you'd think the steering wheel feels like crap as one of the best things about the Lexus IS series is the overall fit and finish and build quality. It is a smaller car yes, it isn't the most powerful car no, but it's a pretty damn nice compact sport sedan. Is it worth the money compared to the G? IMO, no, but if I was in the market for a more gas conscious vehicle that's fun to drive (fun to drive isn't just push the pedal and go) the IS250 ain't a bad choice.

I'm kinda partial to the IS line now. Nice rides.
The 250 still has some guts and gives great mileage, and the 350 and 'F' are the performance end of things but with a penalty in mileage.

+1....
There is definitely a market for this car & with the way they sell,
a lot of people must see something to like.
Also, it's pretty hard to knock the Lexus reliability reputation.

I have the 250 awd, it doesn't get good gas mileage, no power and small. it is however comfortable and well built. your dad should wait for the new A4, better gas mileage, fun to drive and it might be a little bigger.

worst car ever? that's going a little far. I like the IS250 for what it is. Build quality is way better than Infiniti IMO.

Sorry but I can't help but laugh. You decided? Sometimes this truly seems to have turned into a "kiddy forum".

I have to disagree. You are crazy if you think " Lexus IS250 worse car ever.... ". My wife have the IS250. I personal think the inside is very nice build. Very detail. I like the little LCD lights. It is much better than my G. If it is a " Lexus IS250 worse car ever.... ", how come you see it almost everywhere in LA and OC.

I was tempted to ask him how old he is earlier, but held back. Now I am quite curious. Daddy bought him an '08 G35, so in return he will provide his consultation in telling his daddy what he needs to buy. This is one reason I'm selling my bmw and getting a G, too much of this over at the bmw forums whereas people here are more genuine. Some of them atleast...

No offence but if u are changing ur car solely because of a car forum then u need to stay away from the internet.
