Cousin got a G37....

Drove it yesterday and it is such a nice car. The job that infiniti has done on the new Generation G35/G37 is just a night and day difference as far the first gen goes. Car is much more refined, interior is not even comparable to the first gen. I have said this before and will say it again. If they kept the weight down on this car to about 3400-3500 lb it would be a 335 killer with NA motor. Motor is also very nice and smooth. If i didn't have any mods on my car this would be a no brainer (the new sedan) but with my mods I will just stick to my car. I drove my car after his..... I was thinking Im home , love the raw feeling that my car has.

G37 definitely doesn't look ugly. The side pretty much looks the same as the G35. Much prefer the G37 front to the G35. Love the G35 rear so much and makes the G37 rear look droopy.

But yeah, stock for stock, the G37 blows it away. Haven't seen too many really modded G37's yet but IMO it looks too much like an expensive luxury car to really take exterior mods well. Much prefer the leaner more angular aggressive look of the G35 when it comes to exterior modding.

I agree, but again i thought the new sedan was ugly when it came out. Now it has grown on me and that is the same case with the G37. Hell when I first saw the 03 sedan back in 02 on the bilboards i thought it was the ugliest car ever, then a year or so later i was driving one.

I feel you Vlad. When I test drove the G37 Coupe 6MT, the refinement/Luxury & gadgets is miles ahead of my 06 Coupe. The VQ37VHR is a smooth engine too.

But I also felt as if it lost some of the "rawness" of the G35 Coupe. Though the engine is superior to my revup, it didn't have the same feeling as I get from my 6MT.

And, in the subjective side, I didn't like some of the exterior changes to the G37's body, especially its rear. The lines have been softened too much.

If I could only have its interior, technology, brakes, & engine, I'd be a very happy guy

i'd love to take a g37 for a ride.. as for the look, def like the front better but the rear I like the 35 better, although it has grown on me.

Well 2nd gear is as fast as my car (although it feels faster for some reason) 3rd gear is just tooo long for the tq that car has although it does pull nicely but 3rd gear and on my car is faster. I still wish i had that engine over mine though. Making power till 6800 rpm is so evident compared to mine.

^^a few will show up down the road. i've put 17K miles on mine and there are a couple that show up when it's cold outside. a little wheel noise has started showing up as well as my tires wear down. but, there is no evidence of excessive feathering, no oil consumption, there are minor rattles, no excessive brake dust. overall, great improvement but room for even more improvements.
