More evidence that an Infiniti based GT-R is on the way....

"Nissan execs tell us the GT-R itself is not a money-maker for the company, but as more products share its unique platform, it will be.

In addition to the Spec V, the platform will yield products for Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury brand. We likely will get our first glimpse of what’s to come with a new full-size Infiniti concept slated to be unveiled in less than a year. It will reflect the brand’s new design language for the second generation of Infiniti products. And, presumably, it fills the division’s need for a flagship as Nissan continues to roll out its luxury brand globally and aims to make it a true tier-one luxury marque."

My bet is that GT-R technology will be utilized on the next generation M sedan. (It's due to be replaced in 09 as a 10 model) It would make sense, too. The G structure is too small to fit all the GT-R parts inside, not to mention the chasis is not quite up to spec to handle the ATTESA & Power.

have to agree that the sick new infiniti will be a sedan competitor to the m5/e55/etc.

Nissan has already announced that they are revising the Q, but they have not made any mention of any future products using the GT-R's platform.

I think C&D is doing what they always do... speculate without evidence.
