One of my local dealership owners:

Our initial asking price will be set at $90490.00 for the base GT-R and $92540.00 for the GT-R Premium edition. A $3000.00 premium will be added if the Super Silver color is requested and allocated. All offers will be considered. Once a offer is accepted and the deposit is paid, a pre-order will be place in your name and the allocation will be set on a first come first served basis.

when did you hear that nissan is only releasing 1500 /yr?

i believe that is old news, and that 2400 are being released the first year. nissan is still only producing 7500 and releasing them over 5 years. that's it. no more.

i'm curious what else this woman has the foresight to predict. if you didn't speak to the gm or principal, that conversation didn't happen. this is a requirement from nissan.

unfortunately, it seems that the more this car gets coverage, the more mark-up is being asked.

one would think that after the car was released, that the initial demand would decrease... i guess this means that people like the car.

well there is still some good news to this, i just called up a few different Nissans all over the country and they advises me that i can order one and they will get it shipped but its gonna be 10k over msrp. which is great compared to the prices going now so if you dont mind waiting 3-4 months this is the way to go.

For Nissan to bring the price down is to make more GTRs. The more made, the
closer to the base price. I say flood the market like the G35..

The local dealership told me they are selling at MSRP but delivered to you in 2 yrs...it's the 1st yr models that are marked up i suppose?
So it will be a 5 yr production run.....hmmm, maybe I'll get the last yr's model (2014 model?)...that's lotsa time to save up....lol

Friend of mine says that "no GT-R has been sold for less that $100,000." Just wanted to see if this is true.

That sounds about right, 2 people in my town paid somewhere between 90-100 for theirs.. And on ebay that's all I'm seeing. It will probably be ridiculously overpriced for the next two years or so, or maybe until the announced higher end model, Evolution ( corny... ) or V-spec ( more like it ) comes out, who knows... But with a projected run of 2500 units annually and such a seemingly high demand, I don't see how this things going to get any cheaper... I mean, if people are buying them for 100K a pop why would Nissan care? That's more profit for them and corporations are all about that.
