LS-1 powered Porsche 911
These engines are being dropped in everything. Check out this Porsche, it has the LS-1 from a Z06. The owner claims high 11s on the quarter mile with a "conservative" takeoff. This thing's a beast.

Z06 doesn't have an LS1.
It has an LS6 or LS7. This is definitely a regular LS1 out of a regular Covette though. For a high powered, lightweight engine, with tons of aftermarket support, it's not a bad engine to go with at all.
