I dont know about that car, the only thing that it does better than the infiniti is a bigger back seat, plus they are the same price as a well equiped g35. Do you plan on driving the car?

Yea the new Maximas are looking good, but I'd rather just spring for the rear drive G.

They are not the same price even with the same options on both cars. Maxima will be a few grand cheaper. It's still a very nice car though.

^^^^^ i own a fully loaded G sedan with every option and i paid 40k .. a fully loaded maxima with MORE stuff cost 39k

I love the new Maxima and believe it or not it has a lot more luxury amenities than the G does only difference is HR and RWD.

I dunno man, the fully loaded Maxima I saw and test drove was $37k.

Either way, can't go wrong with either choice, especially since it's gonna be for the wife.

I thought the maxima got a version of the 3.0HR motor? Just derated a bit?

Like as said, it's tons better looking than the old one. Size-wise, one would have to look at a M35 which is probably more expensive.

I pass by a Nissan dealership often and not too impress with front end of these Maximas. Mainly the headlights. However once you see one pass you, the car looks awesome. I wish they would chop off the front end and put some normal looking headlights like in the previous generation.

Funny....not one person mentioned the CVT trans....every mag dogged it. I have only been in one car with this trans (Ford SUV hybrid) and it felt weird. Also, no option for AWD when the TL will have it for about the same price. I know some will same leave the AWD for the Infiniti's....but I disagree.

BTW, I do think it looks good.

I think it's a great choice for the wife. I like it better than the TL or Avalon. Compared to the G35 it'll be a little cheaper and less sporty, but should ride a little softer and the transmission will obviously be smoother.

For someone looking for a "softer" G35, a great choice. It's gorgeous in person as well. Better looking that the G IMO.
