I just saw one of the new hyundai genesis and they were attacking Lexus hardcore.

I give them credit for the Genesis & Genesis Coupe. They are great cars for the money. But they are getting too cocky. It seems as if they have forgotten what their perception in the general public still is: just cheap economy brand.

Hyundai is doing a huge mistake by using this strategy. Rather than just focusing on how their car is a great value for the money, they take the extra punch which only makes their own commercials rediculous.

As we all know, it took a crumbling Infiniti branch many years to get to where they are now. They are only dreaming if they believe they can be on par with Lexus, BMW, Audi, & Infiniti in such a short time.

They are trying to take 3 steps instead of that first step.

Yeah, hyundai is pretty much a rip off/ knock off company.

Just like skater said, they've forgotten who they are and they are making a mistake by take punches at lexus and BMW. In the end, no matter what when you put a hyundai and the Lexus/BMW next to each other it will still be a hyundai.

I mean hell, they blatantly ripped off Honda's "H" logo.. Its the same thing but just Italicized

I don't agree with this statement.

The same thing was said about Lexus when it started to rival MB/BMW. And the same thing was said more recently about Infiniti when it started to rival BMW.

You can't take away anything from a company who's really trying to work their way up the chain. But my problem with Hyundai is the way they are doing it. Getting cocky isn't going to cut it from a company who still hasn't "made it" there yet.

Its got different cues from several vehicles. Like the little chrome on the bumper, thats straight M. Taillights look like an LS, and the rest looks like a bimmer

Did you love how all Japanese makes copied either the domestics or europeans when they started into the USA market?

Lexus carboned copied Mercedes for years and years.

Know thy history young one.

The only car i could connect copies were early lexus and the infiniti J30 (which is tryin to be a jag) every other looked different enough so you wouldnt think its a lex LS at first sight.
