New Car - but totalled already?

Well, I bought a new car on Monday and I took delivery just yesterday (Tuesday).

This morning, coming back from dropping off my cousins' car at the body shop this is what happens.... I'll let the pics do most of the talking....

The pros - everyone in my car is ok! Even the lady that got in front of me is ok, per the CHP - she only has minor neck and back injury. And the biggest pro, accident isn't my fault. She lost control and ended up coming into my lane, I was in the carpool lane. I had nowhere to go but hit her. See her damage.

The cons - Seeing the pics got me a lil' sick to my stomach, especially seeing her car didn't have much damage.. I have no car 'til insurance decides to give me a rental, hopefully sometime this week. And I wont have my car 'til who knows when.

**** that gets me - CHP officer said he didn't beleive my story. Said it was my fault since I had damage on the left side as well. He thought I lost control, hit the barrier and ended up nailing her. Momentum took my car there, along with another CHP officer having to push my car and I scraped some more into the barrier... After he spoke to the other CHP officer and I guess witnesses he ended up coming back to speak to me with another tone, seemed nicer and blah blah blah...

Oh well, if it gets totalled, I can replace it. Everyone's alive and that's what matters the most.

Peace.

That's terrible. I would be very pissed to say the least. The new car pristine feeling is all gone now.

that is so true it pisses me off.. I was pulling out of a parking lot and the old a$$ geezer throws his car in Reverse hits me and insurance and cops automatically blemed me... damage was minimal and nothing came from it but it was total BS... i saw his rev lights coming at me.

to the OP.. Glad you're OK Wally!

Wow what a shame Wally, so sorry to hear about your accident. I am glad to hear you are ok though bro, that's always the main thing.

Proably won't be totalled for such a new/expensive car. But I'd be asking for "loss of value" up the ying yang.

thanks everyone.

John - my older bro wanted my M3, so I gave it to him.

Jeff - I was thinking about that as well. Hopefully I wont be needing a lawyer in order to receive the loss of value.

Thanks everyone! I'm just getting a minor chest pain and hopefully it goes away. If it's still there in the morning, I'll be heading out to the doctor but I don't want to make this into a big deal with either her or my insurance company. We'll see.

Go to the doctor anyway. Open up a case and don't close it until you are convinced you aren't hurt.

I bet its totalled. Looks like all the bags are blown, and who knows what other damage is hidden underneath.

Sucks though man. Did you sell your M3 and the white 3 series for this?
