Downgrading the G

What to get?

Had my car since Feb earlier this year and i've been loving it. But some stuff has arisen, and I MIGHT have to get rid of it. Lets just say my brothers education > my car.

So that being said, what would be a decent downgrade? Looking for practical daily driver that'll get me where I have to go. Looking for a car with MT and open for mods, but nothing too ricey

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

2004ish 6mt Accord. Why doesn't your brother pay for his own education?

you can find really good deals on Audi S4 (2000-2002 B5 chassis)

or an E36 M3 (1995-1999)

both of those cars offer just as much fun as a G

My first car was an 02 accord v6. When I was in the market, i thought it would be pointless to get another "accord"

Both of my brothers had SIs, and both of them almost got stolen once. I don't wanna risk it

06 6MT premium package, fully loaded and even came with some mods from previous owner. picked it up cheap 16k miles for $23k

Had an accord before, because he was denied a loan because we made "too much" money last year. So now we're all pitching in. It's cool though, i'm sure when he gets his PharmD he'll pay us back

Both of my brothers had SIs, now they both have E46s lol. I just don't like driving them...too boring for me. And my GF has a E36, and that's not much better lol.

Audi's though, i've been liking the new ones.

Who knows, maybe i'll just get my M license and just get a crotch rocket

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Hate to say it, but would an STi be a bad choice for downgrading? lol.

An STi is probably going to cost more than your G initially did.

Why don't you pimp your girl out? I'm sure there would be plenty of customers here!

Also,
Consider Tag/Tax/Title costs when purchasing a new car. This will often outweigh the benefits of selling and downgrading. At $23k you don't have much to downgrade to these days.

What exactly do you consider a "down grade"?

I have a few ideas, but your pricerange is important.

You could get an 04 Volvo S60R for well under $20k. WRX can be had for cheap. A Subaru Legacy GT would also be a nice cheaper car.

So, what is your real pricerange though? What twin001 said is very true. You're not going to "save" any money unless you buy something in the $14k or less range.
