03 350z vs 06 g35c

Tomoro is the last day the track is open this year it closes down for the winter months and I totaly forgot if the 03-04 z33 came with the rev ups or not so im asking.

What will the out come of a 03 z33 vs a 06 g35 be on the 1/8 or 1/4.

We are placing bets (not for money but McDs cus we broke) on these two cars tomoro at the local drag strip.

Also what times can we expect on them make it a lil more intersting if i can "guess" the times.

The **** we do for the dollar meun.

Depends on the driver. I'll say the 06 G should take it though since you have the rev-up and extra hp. Should be close though

Wrong!

Depends upon the model 350Z. But, regardless of model, this is probably a driver's race.

Are both cars 6MT? Both bone stock?

any year 350z is faster than pre 07 stock coupe or sedan! It will be close 1/8the mile but after 3rd gear the difference is very much visible.

I'd still say this all comes down to the launch. There is something like a 0.2+sec difference between Z models.

You're right about after 3rd gear though - they take advantage of their lower weight at that point. This is probably why Z's trap higher than G's when running similar times.

Back in a day when i just had exhaust and plenum, i had a 350z by 1/2 car till 3rd gear because better driving skills by the end of 4rth he had 1/2 car on me. He was shocked that i was ahead but i was surprised how he reeled on me at the end. He had some minor mods as well. Besides i have raced my friend years ago when i was almost stock and freeway he would walk away from me pretty easily. He had a 05 base Z 6mt.

With decently competent drivers, 350Z should definitely beat the G in ET. They should both trap close though.

My roommate has an '04 350Z 6MT and I have an '05 G35 6MT (revup G vs non-revup Z, same as your case), and we both ran the same night (both 100% stock with same fuel level etc) and he ran 13.79 @ 102.7mph to my 14.05 @ 102.3mph. I think both of our times are fairly respectable for each of our cars, especially considering that was both our first times taking these respective cars to the track. We both have taken other cars to the track before.
