Now that the launch sales are done, what are you seeing?

This was going to happen, it was only a matter of time. I can't count how many haters and even those who did not hate but could not like the GTR for trying said the price was going to never be near MSRP, and how much complaining that this could not be considered a low cost super car due to gouging and price mark-ups.


Letting go for a moment about what real buyers actually paid, (I have read near or just above MSRP on multiple boards including being quoted MSRP myself @ a CT dealer)...

I just stopped yesterday @ Woodfield Nissan on Golf Rd. in Hoffman Estates, he has 2 on the lot right now, numbers 3 and 4 of his 6 total alloted for 2008, the first 2 sold according to them for $91k each. The white base model he has on the lot now is sold, @$81K, and the red premium is still for sale, he said make me an offer, and they have 2 more coming in the next 60 days.

So already in just a few months, not only is 1 of these sitting with no buyer, but that is even as low as the $80s.

What will he have to sell 5 & 6 for, probably under 80 for sure. What are you seeing at other dealers?

Obviously to those who paid over $100, very sorry for you to have to be the first and pay so much over sticker, but if it was worth it to you, then you got what you wanted, me, i would not pay so much over sticker for any car, they all go down in value eventually. (unless you diaper it and stick it in your living room, or send it to B-J in the sand dunes and wait for someone else to overpay for it)

I've only seen one sitting at a local dealer, red premium model. They sold it less than 2 days after I saw it. Not sure how much though.

i'm seeing a recent influx in rpm's, a sharp decrease in fuel mileage, and a steady rise of increased heart rates from both men and women.

i bought mine in aug for under $80k, though, so nothing has changed.
