Talking 2009 Nissan GTR Top Speed Run 190+ mph! Can we keep up?

I wanted to share this with you all. It is amazing how the car still pulls after 160mph!!!!! I wonder how long can we keep up in a G35 or G37??

w/ enough money, I think you could. You could also build your motor and try to get a R32~R34 tranny, transfer case, and the rest of the 4wd parts needed (if you have an X you would be partway their). You would be golden then. The GT-R would be trying to keep up with you then

^ Why would you want to do that? Buy a GT-R and modify it - it'll be way cheaper for the same amount of $$$ compared to teh R34 GT-R.

Everything is already modified to the limit on the body and suspension. The only way to squeze more is larger turbos.

I'm not sure about him, but for me it would be to keep my 4 doors
Yes, I know their was a limited run of R33 GT-R's with 4 doors, but they are hard to come by. Plus, I never liked the look of the R33.

http://www.jbskyline.net/R33/4door/

I think the hardest part would be the electronics in this setup. Since the GTR ecu's control how the torque is split. A V35 ecu couldn't do it... What to do, what to do???

As far as cost goes. I can get a whole R32 GTR for about 4~5k. As much as I would like to get one and register it, the base won't let me. 1 vehicle per license is the rule for us out here
I could get one for parts though...
I'll never go through with it though. Their are too many other life things that I need to take care of first. Car performance mods have to wait until after we buy a house and get stable.

For the same reason the "Ricer Boys" put a 650 WHP motor in a Civic....

Just to see the look on your face when they blow your doors off.

The look on the face is priceless, however,I wouldn't want to be seen by the same guys that I just passed while I am on the side of the road trying to fix my 650WHP Civic that is only good for half of a fast run!!

hks gt570 kit ~$9k installed gives 570awhp.

not bad. same turbos.

i see more gains to be had when the transmission upgrades begin...

i might even just wait until spec-v (vspec) comes out, and start launching like crazy, and just upgrade then. then we could start seeing 700whp gt-r's running around...

now that sounds more like the r35 we expected.

That thing is ridiculously fast... but if it wasn't Motor Trend behind the wheel, I bet they'd tell you your warranty is voided for doing that...
