I saw this at the Plaza in Kansas City this past weekend. We were there last year and I swear this same guy was getting out of a 997 GT3. This car is absolutely stunning in person and it sounds great.

Sorry, but for me that is one butt ugly exotic and the stupid "sideblade" thingy is hilarious. I've seen several of these things and I shake my head at the off color vertical stripe behind the doors. Odd! Park an R8 next to an F430.....the Audi just looks ugly in comparison with the clean smooth lines of the Ferrari.

I love R8's, they're on a very short list of cars I'd like to own. The F430 that was mentioned earlier for example, is one hot car. I'd love to take one for a rip, on the street or a race track. But I could never see myself paying my own money for it. The R8 on the other hand, I'd gladly purchase. There's just something about it that I find to be captivating.

the side blade is offered in 3 colors, one being matching, so even though you will probably never be able to obtain it, at least know your complaints were fckin stupid.

I don't how you can justify this being "ugly" in comparison to any car! I am a huge FERRARI fan and I think the R8 is a better looking, better flowing car than the F430 which is a redesigned 360.

Don't take what I'm saying the wrong way the Ferrari's are great looking, But you have no idea what your talking about!

Who would want to obtain it? And it's still butt ugly! Sideblades! Even the name is hilarious. What marketing wonk dreamed this up? Then again you're buying into it. i don't think its a very good looking car. the view from the rear is dated, the hood is too flat and has no character and the side blades are gimmicky.

Back at you. You must be retarded to love that mishapen thing. That is one ugly Audi although the black paint helps hide the busy design of the front and back. Have you actually been up close and personal with one? Go see one up close in a lighter color with the sideblade thingy in a contrasting color and the black trim front and rear. Weird!

Descendant of the 360 or not, the F430 is a better looking car IMHO. It's also a lot faster than the Teutonic Titanic especially in Scud trim.

i wouldn't consider the r8 in league with any current ferrari...i wouldn't consider it an exotic either. it may be fairly rare, but i don't think that is due more to the fact that it is a niche car and most people wouldn't pay that amount of money to own it.

edit: i wouldn't say its ugly though, just not that good looking.
