Since jutn35 said he wanted an El Camino let me introduce you to the Pontiac G8 ST (Sport Truck). Same 361hp V8 as the G8 GT.

Quite honestly, the only thing I like American is women and money.

Maybe maybe....I'd get new Corvette, its the only domestic one I have any respect for at all. But I'd park it away from my car collection (where the G is) by the "outhouse"....

Then I'd quickly mod the heck out of it and become the envy of all the cowpoke. 'necks, and hillbillys out in the sticks...

For cars that I could realistically own someday: Grand Cherokee SRT8, Z06, CTS-V.

That is probably one of the most import biased magazines i have ever read.

Im not going to base what car i buy off of a mag that reviews toaster ovens.

Then don't believe them, but do visit cadillacforums.com and read about all of the issues with the CTS and Escalade. That's what deterred me from buying either of those cars. The owners, some who have '09s, have a lot of problems. I'm not talking about posts b*tching about tire feathering like yous ee here either.

JD Power > Consumer Reports

A publication loses creditability IMO when they admit that they don't even test Camry's, they just give them top honors because of past performance.

Quote:
J.D. Power & Associates has again released its annual Vehicle Dependability Study, measuring problems experienced by original owners of 3-year-old vehicles; in this case, 2005 model year vehicles. No surprises at the very top, as Lexus leads the pack for a 14th straight year, but two domestic brands — Mercury and Cadillac — again made the top five. In fact, of US automakers, only Chrysler didn't have a brand that placed above the industry average. Full rankings and press release after the jump.

I'd take Consumer Reports with a grain of salt, JD Power's method is far more scientific.

I question JD powers. Their data is based on consumer opinion about the serivce they had.

Why? Because you can see Infiniti, Acura and Lexus score higher than Nissan,Honda and Toyota. Considering much of their fleet should be mechanically indentical, so should their standings. But consider the typical Infiniti, Acura and Lexus customer is usually treated better.

Since when did anyone ever care about a 07 G35 Sedan. You might as well drive a Camry or Accord, save some car payments and continue to drive anonymously.

You get so much more attention and props on the street with a tricked out evo..
