Respect for M3 Motoring Tech

I am really a big fan of a BMW right now considering the M3. 3.2l engine can produce 333hp??!! Thats mad!I've never seen other technology that can produce such horsepowers with only a normally aspirated engine. Other cars with such horsepowers like STi or AMG or SVT Cobra are supercharged or turbo-ed engine. Nothing like M3. Truly, BMW motoring is outstanding.

Re: Respect for M3 Motoring Tech

What ever happened to the rumors about the M3 bumping to something like 354 HP out of that engine? I thought it was happening soon.

Beautiful cars, indeed! Not the fastest, not the most luxurious, not the most technologicly advanced, but high enough on each of those platforms to make it on outstanding car.

333 hp out of 3.2 is nice, but not as impressive as 240 hp out of 2.0

Re: Respect for M3 Motoring Tech

Personally I never understood the whole HP per liter thing.

Who cares how you make the power (NA, TT, blower, N2) as long as your faster on the track, street or strip. I have found bigger motors with lots of TQ more fun to drive.

Re: Respect for M3 Motoring Tech

I heard that this is problly the last year for the M3, they are changing all the 3-series to 4 doors, and intorducing the 4-series which is the same as the 3 series except the 2 door version like a 330ci would be a 430, and to replace the M3 they are putting in an M4 with a V8, i didnt think that is was the one from the old M5 but i know its goin to produce somewhere around 400hp.

As for the M3 CSL it's a light weight verion of the M3 with a few more HP, the interor is bare, it doesnt even have a radio, thats because they want it to go faster though
