Honda reportedly kills S2000 replacement, V8 program, RWD Acuras

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/06/h...am-rwd-acuras/

This is a shock. No more RWD V8 Acura RL? I guess it was only going to take Acura a quarter century to produce its first RWD luxury sedan........

I had such high hopes for the TSX and TL but they blew it. Now they decide to drop the V8 and rear drive all together. I've totally lost interest in Acura vehicles. Why is it so difficult to have a rear drive or a V8?????

Well, on the bright side, the 370Z will make a killing now.

First they kill the CRX, then the S2K. WTF is Honda thinking? Does no rwd mean no NSX successor?

that is pretty gay. The only affordable exciting car is the 370z now. That thing is going to sell like cupcakes.

360p 3.0 V6 with 225 torque on a 2800 lb car would have been schweet.

Oh wait, the new Honda engines suck when it comes to performance. I forgot for a sec there.

I'm liking this. I have an 08 S2000 with low miles. And since the 09's are simply re-VIN'd 08 production, I pretty much have the last model produced.

Hmmm, the only rwd Honda in recent memory and for the forseeable future. Instant classic.

Hang onto your StooK Mike.

I'm racking up miles way too fast on mine... I'm already almost at 21k

I'll have to find a way to get myself a second white CR and have it professionally stored....
