Friends 09 335i LCI

So this Tuesday Kessel got one of our close boys a 335i LCI, the 09 with the face lift and dif taillights. Kessel found it while it was on the ship on its way to US back in December, around the first week, and they've waited for it ever since. My boy Paul has been driving around on rentals for the past 3 months waiting for that perfect car he wanted, not a plain Jane. At first it was nearly impossible to find an 08 with Sport and iDrive, then when the LCI's started popping up, he had his mind set on that, and till this day those cars are still pretty rare around here, only a few a month are shipped to the East Coast.

His is a Metallic black (looks dark gray in certain light), with Saddle Brown interior, and fully loaded with ever option but the rear sun shade.

This car is absolute sex, its so quite and smooth. After all of our boys totaled their cars (simple accidents, no stupidity), everyone was whippin hoopties, and this car feels like a million dollars compared to everything else we've been in for the past 1/2 year.

The suspension is so tight, the acceleration is out of control, and interior is dope as ****. Our boy had an 07 335xi w/ iDrive, and this year they revised it, so much easier to use, use the nav while car is in motion, built in HDD, and sound system is really crisp. The seats can hug you till you **** yourself, adjustable to a big and skinny person, both would feel extremely comfortable in it. At 130mph, this car feels like you're drivin at 60, I cannot understand how you can keep this car UNDER 80MPH on the highway, its literally impossible, you'd go insane. The 335xi felt like **** compared to the i, it feels like a completely different car, you really can feel the weight on the xi's. When the RWD kicks the back out on this thing, it feels like butter, but yet you're in full control due to the tight steering.

I also cannot understand how this car is even compared to a G37, I mean... really, unless you're a hard core Infiniti fan, I dont see how you'd choose a G37 over this, only explanation is comparing a non sport base 335i to a G37S to fit them in the same price range. This car FEELS like it will walk G37's all day long, but I'm sure that's not the case, which I wanna determine sooner or later

At comparative price points it is not a clear winner over the G37 although this is based on my experience with an 07. Both are great cars either way though.

Most likely has something to do with the $10,000 you'll still have in your pocket if you choose the G.

That and the average joe can't tell a top-spec $50K+ 335i from a $30K 323i.

These things just look bland.

Even the 4-door '09 M3 I saw the other day looked meek, when compared to other cars in its price range (C63, IS-F).

Infiniti's exterior and interior colour selection is pathetic compared to BMW.

But I guess if you're overcharging your customers by $5-10K per car you can afford to offer variety.



I'm hoping BMW adds a little more visual-excitement to the 3-series sedan in the next-gen (2011-12?). The 3-series coupe offers so much more style, but many need the practicality of 4 doors.
