just picked up a 04 Gixxer 600 not yet through the break in period. Anybody else got a bike ?

yamaha yzf600r. id say take it easy for about 5-600 miles. use synthetic oil. i use motul~. is it ure 1st bike? if it is....damn might be too much. take it easy. if not.....damn im jealous~ hahaha. i sold my bike. looking to get into a 03 R6~ have fun and ride safe~

Hey, I got a YZF-600R too! (although it looks like you've sold yours already?)
Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the YZF after a year of ownership. And since I would rarely get on a track, it's just about the perfect bike for me. I'd like to get a Hayabusa some day though.

hahah i had a 2000. good bike. although my teeth on the sprokets were worn off and my chain fell out. tearing my rear swingarms to bust open. not a good day. but yea i miss riding.

Not my first bike , my first was a 2001 gixxer 600 with a yoshimira slip on and power commander. and it Was too much bike for me

2003 Gixxer 600 Alstare....Excellent bikes. Like evryone else said, just break it in right on ride safe. If you live in the bay area check out BARF.com. Join in some meets. Everyone else too.

Are u sure man??? synthetics r too thin for brand new engines. I think its the other way around, use synethic after the break in period.

Anywayz... congrat. 600 is a perfect track bike, but i start w/ a 1000. Be safe out there...

I have a Jixer 1000 i'm riding right now. Just lowered with an intake and r&r muffler.
