G35 Or Corvette C5?

Last fall I had started saving for a car to buy in the spring. Back then, I had my mind set on a Corvette. But before that, (as you can see with my previous posts) that I've wanted a G35 for a while now. Right now, the G35 is my pick, but just barely. The main thing i'll be missing out is speed of course. But this car is going to be my DD, and I need a back seat at times. I love the sound of both cars. My friends have also said the Corvette isn't practical for me. Keep in mind, I'm 18. My college is paid for. I work 1 part time job that pays over 2.5x minimum wage. I also have my own little business. And like I said, I have been saving since last Fall, so I have enough money for either one.


Tell me things that would keep my mind set on the G35. Because once I get this car, I want to hold onto it for a few years. I also know I'll also have a Corvette one day, but what should I do for now?

what price range are we talking about? If you have the money look into the G37 if you want more power on a G.......

ahh..lucky..but get the G..insurance costs, repairs..plus if you have money to get a c5..you can mod your G right away.

I was stuck at this same crossroad after selling my Z and decided against the C5. The C6 would be a completely different story.

Whenever I see a Corvette, I'm waiting for a middle-aged man, balding, with a huge beer-belly, coming out of it, wobbling to a corner liquor store.

The only Corvette I'd get over a G35 Coupe 6MT is the C6 Z06. The C6 Z51 with the LS3 would be taken in to consideration, but for a daily driver, its hard to pass on the G.

C5's just don't do it for me.

I dont like c5 exterior and especially interior wise. So g35.... c6 is different ball game for me.....

Hmmm, it if were a C6 I'd so go Corvette all the way. I hate the hide away headlamps, they look so tacky when you turn them on.

I assume you want a G35 coupe, they're ok. If you're gonna mod a car, I'd say just get the Vette.
