need some help and advice.
I'm driving a 2006 chrysler 300c 5.7 V8 340 hp and because my lease ends soon, i'm thinking about a more "active" car. Don't get me wrong, 300c is a powerfull sedan, huge and fast on a straight line, but cornering isn't its thing, and i have the feeling that the brakes aren't proportional the size and weight of the vehicle. Odometer shows 26k miles and i'm on my 3rd set of front rotors. Till couple weeks i was sure my next car is gonna be a used bmw 550i sport package, than i went to a car show and checked out infiniti G37s. It's little bit smaller than bimmer, but i felt realy comfy inside and could imagine that the car is fun to drive. I think also that infiniti is more reliable and costs less money. I looked it up on autotrader and found couple 07'-08' G35s for $25-28k. Now i need your opinion guys, what should i do, what would you recommend, how is your experience with the car, do you love it and enjoy it.
thanks for any post |

Keep the car. Negotiate a cheap buy-back as chrysler can't sell a car for the life of them and I'm sure they'll take about anything you offer for you to buy it back.
Then upgrade the brakes and rotors, lower it for handling, and get some nice lo-pro tires rims for it (also for handling). That's your best route if you ask me, since you had the thing since new and they buy back will be hella cheap.

Take one for a "spirited" test drive, and you'll love it. I also switched from a car whose handling and brakes couldn't keep up with the engine (Maxima), with the result that I constantly ate tires and brakes.
The G is built for the engine, handles well up to and including the track, and is nice inside.

id get the G again, I have teh 6mt sport and its a little tighter in the curves then the regular G,
like g35now, take it for a hard test drive, scare the sales man, get on an on-ramp and drop to 2ed gear and hammer it just after the apex, you will exit the curve looking to grab 3rd at 60+ with a huge grin on ur face. if you read all the reviews, you will know that the G is the best/most capable sports sedan under 40k

I love my g35. I would do it all over again. I also came form a car that handling and brakes were not up to the task.. 04 Max SE. The power delivery is smooth and hard its feels faster than the advertised 306hp. The interior will be better than your 300C and the handling id very good for a stock car..

Thank you guys.
I will definitely test drive one of the g35s. Johnnyzee, i had the 300c for 3 years, enjoyed it, but i think it's time for a new one. Btw. 11-12 mpg isn't cool anymore

I did a ton of research before buying a year-old '07 G35S 5A for 20% less than VIP pricing on a new '08. No regrets, even though gas subsequently went to the moon and then the economy into the ditch.
If you're going through rotors that fast, you need a lighter car, and you need one in the sports category, i.e., Infinity or BMW, not Lexus or Acura. |

I finally test drove a G35s and it was a nice hour and a half without sales man.
The car is exsactly what i hopped it would be: fast, rensposive, tight. Nice luxury and sport mix. I had enough room and i'm 6"3, so after wife's approval i'm now on a search for a 07-08 G35s A/T. Thank you guys |
