GM is notorious for badge engineering. However, badge engineering is not to be confused with platform sharing. The two are totally different.

Good luck with that. Those older Eclipses are fast and have tons of potential, but tons of reliability issues. Everyone I now that's ever owned one has horror stories aplenty.
