However a Charger/300 and an E-Class are not clones like the Vibe/Matrix or a DSM. As for Toyota, they have a stake in Subaru and the upcoming Toyobaru Coupes (provided they're still a go for production) will be the first joint platform sharing venture between the two manufacturers.

A better example of what you were attempting to describe (i.e. badge engineering) would be the GM Lambda SUVs. The Traverse, Acadia, Outlook and Enclave are all the same car under their exterior body work. The Solstice/Sky twins are another example as are the Silverado/Sierra, Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade etc... GM is notorious for badge engineering. However, badge engineering is not to be confused with platform sharing. The two are totally different.
Ah, I see... hah, that makes more sense...

I thought that I'd share some pics of my old talon:

It ran 12s on pump gas, full weight (spare tire, everything) at 4200 feet! I miss her so much

Sheesh. Someone needs to take photography 101. Wheels are curbed towards the camera, not away. No one gives a s**t what your tread looks like.

I always wanted one of those cars, but liked its predecessor, the Mitsubishi Starion, better. Turbo, RWD, 197 hp, 2800 lb curb weight, ftw (in 1987).

That was the greddy FMIC. But if I had to do it all over again I'd go with a smaller core and short-route piping FMIC. Something like this, but with maybe a smaller core: http://www.slowboyracing.com/product...&cat=18&page=1

Good luck with that. Those older Eclipses are fast and have tons of potential, but tons of reliability issues. Everyone I now that's ever owned one has horror stories aplenty.

^I don't. People just don't take care of their car. Be good to the car and it'll be good to you. Don't cut corners, don't install cheap ****, and when you do install, do it once--do it right.
