2009 Mazda RX-8 R3
Why not just drop the 2.3-liter turbo MazdaSpeed3 engine in this car. I may be over simplifying this....but from what I read....this is a perfect sports car...but it lacks power.

They have to stick to rotaries on any RX car, that's kinda what the R stands for
![]() Don't get me wrong though, I think the car is utterly useless with its current powerplant, but a piston engine is not the solution, I think they should just boost the rotary again.

This should've been dumped in their lineup. It's not the same RX class as it used to be before Ford really took the reins on these. RX-7 twin turbo FTW.

Yeaaa... but I'd figure Mazda would be able to correct some of the flaws of the old boosted 13bs.
All I'm saying is, there has to be a solution that will not involve an immediately engine swap due to nasty explosion, but still give the car some balls I like the LSX, but buying a brand new car, and swapping the motor is just plain silly.
