Childhood Dreams

For those of you over 25, what cars of yester-year did you have posters of on your wall or routinely dream about? As a child of 80's I was, by obligation, a big Countach fan but there were only 2 cars that made my bedroom wall:

Ferrari F40

Vector W8

1. Ferrari Testarossa. No offense to F40, but V12 for me.

2. Delorean DMC-12 - Yes, Back to the Future Time Machine

3. Pontiac Trans Am - Knight Rider. lol

I'm not 25, but when the first Ferrari I laid eyes on was a Testarossa. It was one of the most beautiful cars, and I fell in love with it along with the F40. I also have a thing for the 365GTB.

Other cars:

E30 BMW M3

Porsche 959 (one of my favorite cars ever- it was basically built as a technological showcase and the road going version of the racer)

I love old muscle cars. Something like a Chevelle SS or a 69 Mustang.

By the time we are in our 40's - 50's, some people our age (25-35) would have aquired the means to aquire these gems. (80's supercars like F40, Countach, Esprit, 993 Turbo) Which means in another 15years the resale value of these classics will likely to peak.

You guys are bringing back some fond memories. Esprit, Testarossa, McLarin F1 are also favorites of mine. The 959 was a goofy lookin SOB but it was certainly technically impressive.

IVRY PRL's selection was....umm...interesting. I can see the Alpine, but the Astra and Lantis....

Haha, well, I guess I should've clarified that I grew up in the Eastern Block, where we didn't really have nice cars.
In Soviet Russia, car drives you
