Genesis Coupe Reigns Over G37 Coupe

So Car&Driver says the G37 isn't as good as the 328i even though the G37 is more of a bargain and out performs the BMW in every aspect.
And then there's Edmunds that says the G37 isn't as good as the Genesis Coupe because its not as much of a bargain, even though the Genesis loses in every aspect except price.
Now I would say the press is biased, but then again, as a Nissan/Infiniti head, I'm biased as well.

So where does the G37 stand in the new generation of cars?

Id rather be in the G. I can't stand the squinting face of the Genesis. I guess if you have the money, get the G if not get the genesis(I would rather get a used G). Shouldn't they compare the Genesis to the 370z?

i agree, but it'll be interesting to see where the KDM scene goes in the next 5-10 years

true but just remember... JDM will continue to improve as well, so unless the korean rate of improvement is THAT much larger than the japanese rate, JDM will always win...

My next car will be in the +$40K range, so the Genesis Coupe isn't even on my radar. Secondly, you'll get a Elantra for a loaner if they do loaners, nuff said. A person who can't notice the subtle, but very important differences between a $45k car and a $25k car should really consider the Genesis. They'll really enjoy the G37's performance at a bargain. I really don't understand the comparison anyway. Why not compare the Genesis with all of the luxury sport coupes like the 328/335 Coupe, A5, and C350 Coupe?

Hyundai is at where Infiniti was back in 2002, and I don't have one bit of problem with that. The more competition the merrier. The interior of the Genesis coupe needs A LOT of work, then again from what I saw it looks better than my 2003 G35 Coupe. haha.

For those asking about the other spectrum (luxury over sport) ...

Bentley -- Mercedes -- Lexus -- Audi -- Acura -- Hyundai (actually catching up to Acura)

JDM development is the slowest among the 'big 4'. Why? Because they have the least room for improvement, but it IS a fact.
